Battle Maiden
Akene, the Goddess of Creation, begat Heaven. Rakhdan, the God of Destruction, begat the Netherworld. Each god sought to mold Glenheim in their image, and thus the two Genesis Wars began.
As we know, Akene won the first Genesis War. To heal the wounded world after her costly victory, she asked Lugirae, the god of water, to create a river of life that flowed through the Heavens, the Netherworld, and Glenheim all at the same time. It slowly regenerated the three worlds, restoring what was destroyed.
Akene was pleased with Lugirae's work and used a portion of her essence to create a new race of beings. She also created a home for them, a lush island paradise called Hodegos, far from any other land. The goddess then tasked her new children as keepers of all magic. This was the beginning of the Mystic. They still reside in their sanctuary, the Helix, traveling about the world. The Mystic refer to the day of their creation as the Day of Great Beginnings.
The second Genesis War plunged the world into absolute chaos. The Helix was no longer safe, beseiged endlessly by Rakhdan's forces. The Mystic called upon their divine powers to protect the Helix and Hodegos.
Other Mystic wished to purge Rakhdan's evil not just from their homeland, but from the entire world. These brave holy women wield immense hammers and have become known as the Battle Maiden.
